42) Only one household of God

Ephesians 2:19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,

While Gentiles were strangers and aliens to the old covenant and its promises, they are included in the new covenant and are fellow citizens with Jewish saints in the new covenant. Although the new covenant promise is offered to all nations and people, only believers are included in the new covenant. The old covenant was made with an unredeemed people who had obedience requirements in order to receive the blessings. From this unredeemed people, God preserved a remnant that looked with faith to a redeemer. The new covenant is with regenerated believers only that are freely given everything that is required by God.
