31) The day the Old [Mosaic] Covenant began

Exodus 19:5-6 Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine; (6) and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel.

”IF! If you keep my covenant, then you shall……… This covenant was a legal conditional covenant requiring obedience. The physical nation of Israel failed miserably in fulfilling the Mosaic Covenant, but Jesus Christ perfectly fulfilled this covenant on behalf of New Covenant recipients [spiritual Israel] as well as the Old Testament remnant of the physical nation of Israel.

Wayne,
You are doing a fine job with these devotionals. Let me no when you've compiled them into one post. At that point your post would be the new beginning of BC blog. The only thing is is that my son goes in for an operation in early October. I fear that I would not be able to devote much time to blogging between now and then. Perhaps BC blog's re-launch date should be moved to the first of the year, the Lord willing.

Mark,
That sounds like a good plan! I will work on that.

I will be in prayer for your son and his operation.
